How to troubleshoot if it didn't work:

1. Confirm that your computer/laptop system is Windows7/8/10, it does not work for other systems (Mac OS, Linux, Chrome OS, Windows 10 Pro).
2. Check your USB port if it's loose or not, and change another port to try.
3. While you plug this adapter into your computer, you will see there is a new USB device folder on your computer, then double click to install the driver. and RESTART your computer. (Please remove the adapter while you restart the computer.)
4. Please ask for help if you have tried all the above and still cannot make it work. If you want to use two different brand display monitor outputs, please follow the steps.

Add a secondary HDMI and extend your desktop without disassembling your computer to install a new video card.

Plug in the HDMI port first.

Connect the USB port unless the screen appears normal.

Plug in VGA finally.
